Job Description

GoFormz is a San Diego-based company leading the mobile data capture industry. We empower businesses to replace paper forms with web and mobile-based digital forms that provide global access to the collected data. We are looking for an AI QA Automation Engineer to modernize our QA practices through intelligent automation and AI-powered tooling. You will design AI-augmented test suites, maintain our Playwright framework, and integrate AI tools to accelerate test generation and defect detection across web and mobile applications.

The Details

• Design AI-augmented automated test suites for web and mobile applications
• Maintain and improve the existing Playwright test suite
• Leverage AI tools like Copilot and LLM-assisted test generation to streamline script creation
• Identify opportunities to apply AI/ML to defect detection and test prioritization
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Analyze test failures using AI-assisted root cause analysis
• Write and triage defects in JIRA with clear, thorough bug documentation
• Support pre-release testing and on-call alert response
• Evaluate third-party AI-powered QA platforms
• Research emerging AI testing methodologies and bring recommendations to the team

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of automated testing framework experience
• Hands-on Playwright experience; Appium familiarity preferred
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional context (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.)
• Familiarity with LLM-based test generation or intelligent test selection
• JIRA experience with strong bug report documentation skills
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently
• Adaptability and strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $70,000–$110,000 annually
